Spring in Connecticut is such an amazing time of the year, a time when nature comes to life. The snow is gone, birds are chirping, new blooms are forming on the trees, and flowers are poking out of the ground. It's a reminder that we are meant for nature, to get out in the sun, breathe fresh air and take in all the beauty that surrounds us. And depending on your surroundings, it may be mind over matter. Sunshine equals Vitamin D which is so important for our health, so when you see that sun shining, get out in it....somehow...find a way. Stand in the sunlight, close your eyes, take a deep breath in through the nose, hold for 5 seconds, and breathe out slowly for a count of 5. Do this a couple of times, and you will not believe how this makes you feel. Deep breathing is so soothing and mix it with sunshine, it is nature's way of saying, "Everything is going to be ok."
